Clinic of occupational medicine is in the main building of the Health Center

The system of health protection of employees and safety at work is standardized by set of regulations:

– Law about health protection (“Official Sheet Republic Montenegro” no. 39/04)
– Law about labor (“Official Sheet Republic Montenegro” no. 49/08)
– Law about pension and disability insurance (“Official Sheet Republic Montenegro”
no. 54/03)
– Law about the environment (“Official Sheet Republic Montenegro” no. 48/04)

and supporting acts:
– Regulations on the contents of the special measures of health care of employees
– Regulations on the procedure and risk assessment in the workplace
– Regulation on keeping records in the field of occupational safety
– Regulation on the manner and procedure for performing preliminary and periodic examination of workers

The existing regulatory framework is just one of the preconditions for improving employees’ health, safety, and to make progress in terms of reducing the incidence of occupational diseases and injuries at work.

Priorities in occupational medicine are to promote a healthy working environment and a healthy workplace.

Clinic of occupational medicine according to the Regulations (“Official Sheet Republic Montenegro “no. 44/2006) in agreement with the employer performs the following tasks:
1. Medical examinations to determine ability to work
2. Monitoring the health status of employees
3. Identification and assessment of health risks in the workplace
4. Systematically, preliminary, periodic control examination of employees with respect to sex, age and working conditions, the occurrence of occupational diseases, injuries at work and chronic illness
5. Giving advice about health, safety, hygiene of work, organization preservative
6. Overview of employees who must implement to protect against harmful factors, living and working environment
7. Organizing and administering first aid, emergency on-site and in the process of work
8. Assessment of working conditions at each workplace for the protection of occupational diseases
9. Needs assessment and referral of employees exposed to health risks at work, to tired and physically exhausted employees on health preventive active vacation, the early rehabilitation and monitoring of this vacation and rehabilitation
10. Health education and health education of employees
11. Services to develop healthy ways of work and promoting health at work
